Travel insurance
Travel insurance is recommended, at an estimated cost of about $85 per student. It helps protect your trip investment if you must cancel after penalties apply for a reason covered by your policy.
Covered reasons generally involve events affecting the traveler, their parents, siblings, or grandparents that prevent travel. Claims require appropriate supporting documentation, such as documentation from a doctor, police officer, or firefighter. Coverage depends on the policy's actual terms.
For full details or to purchase a policy, visit Allianz Travel Insurance or ask Lake City Travel for assistance. Insurance may also cover certain risks such as supplier bankruptcy or a medical or personal emergency that prevents travel, depending on the policy.
