Band Booster Board Elections on May 13th

A Note from Your Co-President, Jason Grant

Dear Grizzly Band Families,

As we look ahead to next school year, I’m excited to invite you to consider joining our Band Booster Board! We have several positions available, and your involvement would make a tremendous difference in supporting our amazing students and program. We are planning for elections to take place during our board meeting on Tuesday, May 13th. One of the best things about our board structure is that we’ve set up all positions as co-roles. This means you’ll always have a partner to work with and learn from—no one ever has to come into a role and learn everything from scratch! This approach makes the transition smooth and ensures everyone has support from day one.

Available positions include:

  • Co-President: Help ensure all aspects of our program run smoothly and establish a strong relationship with our incoming principal
  • Co-Vice President: Focus on fundraising, volunteer coordination, and our fun “nights-out-with-the-band” events
  • Co-Treasurer: A perfect behind-the-scenes role managing finances, paying clinicians, and ensuring our financial health
  • Co-Secretary: Keep meeting notes, send out Band Happenings, and maintain our historical records

If you prefer to jump in to a role that is for a smaller amount of time, our Coordinator roles are a super-important way to help:

  • Grizzly Band Coordinator: It’s nearly time to start planning for Grizzly Band Camp and get ready for pep-band season
  • Uniform Coordinator: This is a great way to interface with our band members and make a big impact
  • Cheer Gear Coordinator: A nice little fundraiser for us has been selling cheer-gear during our home football games

No special experience needed—just your enthusiasm and willingness to help! The time commitment is manageable, and the rewards of supporting our students are immeasurable. Plus, you’ll join a fantastic team of fellow band parents who make the work both meaningful and enjoyable. Interested? Have questions? Please reach out to me directly or email gphsbandboosters@gmail.com. Let’s keep our amazing band program thriving together!

Warmly,

Jason Co-President, Glacier Peak Band Boosters
