Below is a list of upcoming events to put on your calendar. The events are listed in date order and indicate which band(s) are called below the date. Stay current with the GP Band Happenings by following the GPHS Band Boosters on Facebook and Instagram or visit grizzlyband.org.
NEW this week:
Concert Dresses have arrived!! If you ordered a concert dress, please meet our Uniform Coordinator, Sarah McKinney, in the Band Room Wednesday, October 4th after school OR Thursday, October 5th at 6:30pm before Grizzly Band rehearsal. If you have any questions, need to arrange a different pickup day/time, or need helping with hemming your student’s dress, please email the GP Band Boosters at gphsbandboosters@gmail.com.
The annual GP Band Holiday Poinsettia & Wreath Fundraiser kicks off this Friday, October 6th!! Complete details coming soon!
Important upcoming DATES:
Wednesday, October 4th 7:30am-2pm Wind Ensemble & Drumline Elementary Tour—Students, Chaperones, and Instrument Transportation Volunteers should arrive at GPHS at 7:30am to load instruments and busses and be ready to depart at 7:50am. For complete details and itinerary, please refer to the email from Mr. Morris. The transportation fee of $20 should be paid to the GPHS Bookkeeper in person or online. Thank you volunteers! All available slots have been filled. If something comes up and you are unable to volunteer on Wednesday, please email the Band Boosters at gphsbandboosters@gmail.com ASAP so we can find a substitute.
Thursday, October 5th 7-9pm Grizzly Band Rehearsal (Homecoming music)—Students should arrive at 6:45pm and be ready to begin 7pm. Attendance will be taken at the field (or in the Band Room hallway if rehearsal is moved indoors).
Friday, October 6th 5-10pm Grizzly Band Homecoming FB vs Kamiak—Students meet at GPHS at 5pm to change into uniforms before loading busses to Veterans Memorial Stadium. After the game, students will return to GP to change out of and hang uniforms. Remember to wear black socks and all black shoes. Attendance will be taken in the Band Room hallway.
We still need a few more helpers for the Band Booster Cheer Gear Booth. Easy to do if you’re already at the game. Visit grizzlyband.org/volunteer to signup.
Tuesday, October 10th 7-8:30pm GP Band Room GP Band Booster Board meeting. All are welcome.
